Taylor Goelz, MS/MPP, is a Senior Program Manager for the Market Innovation team within the Aspen Institute Energy & Environment Program (EEP). Goelz leads the team’s External Affairs portfolio, where she designs and executes strategic communications, high-level events, and global partnerships essential to scaling sustainable markets.
Building on her foundational work in establishing the Zero Emission Maritime Buyers Alliance (ZEMBA), Goelz is also facilitating new project development, translating ZEMBA’s successful demand-aggregation model into solving problems in emerging sectors.
Prior to joining the Aspen Institute, Goelz served as a John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellow with NOAA Research. In this role, she led domestic and international engagement for the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030). Across her career, she has managed a diverse array of ocean and coastal management initiatives, driven by a passion for solving complex environmental challenges through storytelling, coalition building, and partnerships.
Goelz holds a Master of Marine Science and a Master of Public Policy through the dual-degree program at William & Mary and the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS). She earned her Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of San Diego.
