Taylor Goelz, MS/MPP, serves as a Senior Program Manager, Ocean & Climate for the Aspen Institute Energy & Environment Program (EEP).
Goelz leads external affairs and strategic communications for the Ocean & Climate team where she develops and implements communications, media, and event strategies and builds global partnerships key toward overarching team goals. A key area of focus is the Zero Emission Maritime Buyers Alliance (ZEMBA), a first-of-its-kind buyers group working to aggregate customer demand for clean energy powered shipping solutions.
Goelz served as a John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellow with NOAA Research focused on domestic and international engagement, communication, and coordination for the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030). She has worked on a variety of ocean & coastal management topics and is passionate about approaching tough problems through storytelling, coalition building, and unique partnerships. She holds a Masters in Marine Science and a Masters in Public Policy through William & Mary and the Virginia Institute of Marine Science’s dual degree program. She received her Bachelors in Environmental Studies from the University of San Diego.
