Tanzia oversees the production and execution of energy policy convenings at the Aspen Institute’s Energy and Environment Program, including flagship forums like Aspen Energy Week, specialty dialogues, and consensus-building initiatives.
Tanzia is an MPA (Master of Public Administration) graduate from the University of Georgia with a concentration in public policy. She is a development enthusiast with experience in working with a foreign government and international development agencies. She worked with the Government of Bangladesh, the United Nations Development Program, and USAID as a policy consultant between 2015 to 2019 before moving to the US. In addition to her policy and consulting experience, she also has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bangladesh, where she focused her research on environmental sustainability and renewable energy usage in developing countries.
