Michellie Hess is the Communications Manager for the Aspen Institute Energy and Environment Program’s Market Innovation team. She develops strategic communications initiatives that showcase the team’s leadership in scaling markets for sustainable solutions.
Prior to joining Aspen, Michellie held a range of research and communications roles across philanthropy and the nonprofit sector. She served as an International Disability Rights Research Fellow at the Ford Foundation, supported the Food and Freshwater team at the World Wildlife Fund, and most recently worked as a Programme and Content Officer at the Centre for Ageing Better.
Originally from Walla Walla, Washington, Michellie holds an MSc in Political Communication from the University of Glasgow and a BA in Comparative Politics and Government from the University of Puget Sound.
