Report from the Aspen Forum on American Economic Competitiveness

In the context of a shifting world order, the United States faces new challenges and rising stakes to reinforce its economic competitiveness. Industrial policy, energy, trade, and supply chain resilience are already playing a heightened role in geopolitical and economic competition. In March 2025, the Energy & Environment Program convened a four-day forum to discuss the future of American economic competitiveness. Participants explored the core components of a national competitiveness strategy and worked to identify opportunities for bipartisan progress.This report summarizes the key findings from the discussion.
