2019 Global Energy Forum: A Booming Sector Grappling with Diversity, Global Instability, & Climate Change

The Global Energy Forum is an annual gathering of industry leaders and experts, public officials, and NGO groups, who convene to discuss global supply and demand issues, geopolitical implications, climate change and emissions reductions best practices, and other critical issues facing the energy system. This year’s Global Energy Forum was co-chaired by Jason Bordoff, founding Director of SIPA’s Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University, and Vicki Hollub, CEO of Occidental Petroleum. The forum, which took place in Aspen, Colorado, brought together ~60 experts from corporate, government, academia, and non-profits during July 11 – 14, 2019.
